Eligible applicants are Queensland children and young people aged from 5 to 17 (inclusive) who either hold or whose parent, carer or guardian hold a valid Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with the child’s name on it; or

Although we are experiencing intermittent showers we are going ahead, with a highly modified program………..track events only, punctuated by some fun races and games. There’s a free sausage sizzle and zooper doopers and of course the good old bananas thanks to Coles!

Saturday is our final Centre Comp day for the 2017/2018 Season.

Arrival 3:00 pm for 3:30 pm event start. There will be a period where we cease events to have a few fun games and everyone can have a free sausage sizzle and zooper doopers! If it’s hot we’ll have a bit of water play …..bring a towel!

Make sure you bring your achievement books and pink/blue achievement cards (if you had them issued previously).

No training today, showers are still on and off at Sunnybank with the possibility of a storm. Next Centre Comp Sat 03 Mar 3:00 for 3:30 event start.

To state the obvious…it’s too wet for Centre Comp today! The oval is absolutely soaked and more rain on the way. Junior Carnival/Senior Pentathlon Nominations are due at centre today. Committee members will be at the oval 12:00 – 1:00 pm to take nominations. Any issues please contact Isabel 0412022028

Due to the current wet state of the oval and the significant chance of more rain throughout the avy the Committee has made the decision  to cancel Centre Comp today. The lost week 4 (Round 3) will be rescheduled to a reserve day on 03 March 2018. As always the safety of our athletes and comfort of our families is paramount and although the rain isn’t heavy the regular light showers are forecast to continue throughout the day.

Get Started Vouchers are now available!  Get Started Vouchers is one of the funding programs that comprise the Queensland Government’s Get in the Game initiative to support sport and active recreation at the grassroots level.

Get Started Vouchers assists children and young people who can least afford, or may otherwise benefit from, joining a sport or active recreation club.

Eligible children and young people can apply for a voucher valued up to $150, which can be redeemed at a sport or recreation club that is registered for Get Started Vouchers. Sunnybank Little Athletics is a registered Get in the  Game Club

Eligible applicants are Queensland children and young people aged from 5 to 17 (inclusive) who either:

hold or whose parent, carer or guardian hold a valid Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card with the child’s name on it; or

are identified by a registered referral agent .

A maximum of $150 per voucher is available to help pay the cost of sport or recreation membership and/or participation fees . Sunnybank Little A’s accepts Get Started Vouchers as full payment for registration fees.

Vouchers secured now will be accepted for the upcoming 2018/2019 season. Vouchers must be presented before May 2019.

There is a limit of one voucher per child/young person per calendar year.
