While the recent Covid lock down has ended, a range of temporary restrictions will be in place until 4pm, Sunday 22 August 2021, this includes no community sport for two-weeks including competition and training. As a result of this directive from Queensland’s Chief Health Officer the start of our season has been pushed back by 2 weeks.

Under the guidelines, sign-ons can still go ahead in our Region as long as people can be physically distanced and grouped under the current density requirements of 1 person per 2m2 for indoor spaces and 1 person 4m2 in outdoor spaces. We will now be conducting our sign-on session 12:00-3:00 pm on Saturday 21.08.21, Orientation 28.07.21, Week 1 will be Saturday 04.09.21

We been notified that the on-line software registration system does not differentiate between a Tiny Tot only registration and a 1^st Child (U6 to U17) full registration.  For on-line Tiny Tot registration (one child, family registration) please choose the CASH PAYMENT option to allow the correct $80 fee to be processed at the Centre.

Due to current lockdown conditions which includes sporting restrictions, our centre will delay the start of our 2021/2022 Competition Season.  Once the lockdown is lifted, our summer season will go ahead

07 August – Sign on session 1200-3:00 pm.

14 August – Orientation Day 1:30-4:00 pm.

21 August – Week 1 Competition 1:30-4:00 pm.

All sessions will be held at Sunnybank High School (Oval), Gager St, Sunnybank

We will have training for athletes nominated for Regionals on Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30pm to 6:00pm Sunnybank High Oval. Training will commence this Monday, 2 Feb 2021.

New time for training on Mondays and Wednesdays will be 4:30 – 5:30, commencing 17/08/2020.

We are asking all of our Little A’s families to go to the Qld Govt Current Contract Tracing Alerts website to see if you have been to any of the locations where confirmed cases have attended, 2 locations identified in Sunnybank and a number of other close areas. Anyone who has been to any of the advised locations is NOT to attend Little Athletics. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested

Due to the continuing rain we have had to make the decision to postpone our first week of centre competition to next Saturday. 01.08.2020.

The oval at Sunnybank High is very wet, going ahead in these conditions would be unsafe for athletes and uncomfortable for families. As we need to use vehicles and trailers to move equipment to event areas we would also be risking damage to the grounds.

Training will go ahead this Monday 4.00 – 5.00 pm

The safety of our athletes and the comfort of our families is always a priority for us. With that in mind we are currently monitoring the weather and will make a decision by 1100 whether we will need to move today’s week 1 centre competition to next Saturday. We will post the update on this website and on our facebook page by 1100
