Meet the Sunnybank Little Athletics Committee

Sunnybank Little Athletics is proudly run by a dedicated team of volunteers who make each season possible. Our committee is made up of passionate individuals, many of whom are parents of athletes currently participating at the Centre. We work together to create a safe, supportive, and fun environment for all our athletes to grow, learn, and achieve their personal bests.

The committee is elected each year at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), which is held in conjunction with our end-of-season Presentation Day. This is a great opportunity for families to get involved, share ideas, and help shape the future of our Centre.

We’re always looking for extra hands and fresh perspectives, so if you’re interested in volunteering or joining the committee, we’d love to hear from you!

A message from our President;

Being part of this club means so much to me. I love seeing our athletes grow—not just in their skills and abilities, but in their confidence, self-belief and friendships. There’s nothing better than watching a child achieve something they didn’t think they could, celebrate a personal best or simply walk off the track with a huge smile.

What makes Sunnybank so special is the community around it. We are a volunteer-run club, and I’m constantly inspired by the families who give their time, support one another and come together to create something positive for our athletes.

Taking on the role of President is an opportunity I’m incredibly grateful for. I’m looking forward to helping shape the future of the club, creating new opportunities for our members and continuing to build a welcoming environment where every child feels supported, included and proud to be part of Sunnybank Little Athletics.

There’s certainly plenty happening behind the scenes, but I genuinely love being involved and seeing our club continue to grow.

For me, it’s about so much more than athletics. It’s about community, confidence, friendships and creating memories that our athletes and families will carry with them for years to come. I’m excited for what’s ahead and very proud to serve as President of Sunnybank Little Athletics.
